Melrose Abbey's Presbytery Heart Casket on the grounds of Melrose Abbey

Priorwood Gardens are located right next to the Abbey and once belonged to the Curle family. Within the gardens are many apple trees, some of which are direct descendants of those grown by the monks of the Abbey. Priorwood is a specialist garden where the plants grown are selected for their suitability for drying.
