Talk by Mrs. Jane Irving on Bess of Hardwick; Little Eaton Derby (followed by a.g.m.).

Visit to Hardwick Hall. There are pieces of needlework by both Marie Stuart and Bess of Hardwick and also a statue of Marie that was originally destines to be places in what is now called Mary's Bowers at Chatsworth.

Visit to Coughton Hall Warwickshire. Opportunity to see a chemise worn by Mary also a death mask which is a copy of a 16th. century cast - also documents relating to Marie Stuart.

A week-end in London and thereabouts. A visit to Lambeth Palace to see original documents relating to Marie Stuart and Syon House where Lady Jane Gray was pronounced Queen and which house a portrait of Marie Stuart.
